Son’s in Jail After Violating my Restraining Order from the House

After multiple warnings to my 27-year-old alcoholic son last night that I would call the police if he didn’t stop banging on the door and window, he was arrested.

This morning I talked to my son’s CARE Team from the Dept of Mental Health that I got him by petitioning for a new program called CARE Court (other states are watching CARE Court and considering their own version). He said that IRC (Inmate Reception Ctr), where he’s being held in L.A. isn’t bad, it’s just boring. He also said he talked to my son’s previous rehab and they’re going to hold the bed for him for June 2nd.

Another member of my son’s CARE Team is going to be at my son’s hearing on Monday. She will check in with the bailiff before the hearing so he lets my son’s public defender know that she’s there. The judge will likely order my son back to rehab, which the CARE Team will explain has been arranged for him the following day.

The Dept Of Mental Health will pay for a hotel room for my son on the night of June 1st if the judge releases him. His CARE Team will then transport him to the rehab on June 2nd if he’s sober. My son has purposely run himself out of money and alcohol this month once again so he’ll have to go back to rehab.
